1.CENTRE LAUNCHES E-MONITORING PLATFORM 'PRAGATI' TO FAST-TRACK DELAYED PROJECTS 

2.RUTH PORAT TO BE THE NEW CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO) OF  GOOGLE FROM MAY 26, 2015. 

She replaces Patrick Pichette to this office of the world's largest search engine giant.

3. 3-YEARS-OLD DOLLY SHIVANI CHERUKURI SET THE NATIONAL RECORD IN ARCHERY: INDIA BOOK OF RECORDS 

She becomes the youngest Indian to score over 200 points (388 to be exact) over five and seven metres, as per the India Book of Records.

4. RAILWAYS SET UP A COMMITTEE TO REVIEW THE EXISTING PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP (PPP) CELL IN THE RAILWAY BOARD WITH AJAY SHANKAR AS ITS HEAD. 

The Committee will recommend measures needed to make the PPP Cell more efficient and user friendly.

5. EMINENT HINDI POET GOPALDAS NEERAJ HAS BEEN AWARDED WITH FIRST NATIONAL KAVI PRADEEP SAMMAN. 

The Prize - instituted by the government of Madhya Pradesh in the memory of late renowned poet and songwriter Kavi Pradeep - carries a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh, a shawl and a citation.

6. INDIA INKS $300 MILLION LOAN AGREEMENT WITH ADB FOR IMPROVING REGIONAL ROAD CONNECTIVITY ALONG THE NORTH BENGAL-NORTH EASTERN REGION (NER). 

About 500 km of roads will be constructed under the Program which is expected to boost the domestic and regional trade across the region.

7. I & B MINISTRY BAGS PLATINUM ICON IN WEB RATNA AWARDS 2014 IN COMPREHENSIVE WEB PRESENCE CATEGORY. 

Web Ratna Awards - set up in the year 2009 by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology - honours outstanding e-governance initiatives/practices of government agencies which ensure delivery of information/services with adoption of best ICT practices.

8. CARPET EXPORT PROMOTION COUNCIL IS ORGANIZING THE 29TH EDITION OF INDIA CARPET EXPO FROM MARCH 27-30, 2015 AT PRAGATI MAIDAN (NEW DELHI). 

The exhibition aims to promote the cultural heritage and weaving skills of Indian hand-made carpets and other floor coverings amongst the visiting overseas carpet buyers.

One of the largest Handmade Carpet Fairs in Asia, the expo is hosting around 450 carpet importers from 57 countries mainly from Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, Mexico, Russia, UK, US etc.
